This week we spent some time looking over the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2015 Formula 1 season. We definitely didn't think this race was as boring as everyone else seems to have, but maybe soooomething could have spiced it up... just a little.
We moved on from the race, to a feature discussing some things that you probably didn't know about the three brake suppliers to Formula 1, Brembo, Hitco and Safran (Carbon Industrie). All three play different roles in stopping these cars in their own ways than you may have thought.
From brakes, we looked quickly over the McLaren loss of LVMH's TAG Heuer brand as a sponsor, and what it means for them as a team. Which is ultimately not very much.
Finally, we switched topics to what will hopefully also be the penultimate installation in the saga of the 2016 Red Bull power unit struggle. We broke down their final options, as well as looking at Bernie's finalized, non-hybrid 2.5L V6 bi-turbo unlimited revving, unlimited fuel-flow alternative engine strategy, which he believes will save Formula 1. The idea is to wrest his power back from the teams who seem to be calling more of the shots recently than Bernie would like.
